MISSION

To provide social protection and promote the rights and welfare of the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities to contribute to the poverty alleviation an empowerment through social welfare and development policies, developed appropriate programs, projects and services implementation in coordination with GO's, NGO's and the private sectors.

MANDATE

To effectively implement social welfare and development programs, projects and services that will alleviate poverty and empower disadvantaged individuals, families and communities for an improved quality of life.

OBJECTIVES

1. Care, Protect and Rehabilitate socially disabled constituents and the physically handicapped for effective social functions;
2. Arrest the further deterioration of the socially disabling or dehumanizing conditions of the disadvantaged segment of the community level;
3. Coordinate the service facilities required from such departments/agencies governmental and non-governmental to provide an integrated welfare package to constituents in the basis of their needs;
4. Advocate for policies and measures addressing Social Welfare Programs
